Assembly

President Michael D. Higgins paid a visit to Christian Brothers College on Friday 15 November last. The occasion was the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the College.

The celebrations took the form of a great gathering of the College community: all pupils and teachers from both the Preparatory and Secondary Schools assembled in the Hall, together with representatives of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust, the members of the Board of Management , both Parents Councils, the officers and committee memebers of the past pupils Union, retired  teachers of the College and a number of special guests, including members of the Christian Brothers.

President Higgins unveiled a commemorative arch in the course of his visit. The work, in limestone and bronze, is situated in a prominent position on the College grounds.
