Arts at CBC

Artist talent is very much nurtured at CBC. Recognition of talent and provision of the right environment to develop a student's talent in the arts is strongly emphasised in the school.

CBC Arts Week

CBC Arts Week takes place every second year. The Arts week promotes, highlights and celebrates the role of the Arts in CBC and gives a great opportunity to the students to participate, learn, watch and listen to the various formats of the Arts as demonstrated during this special week. A series of workshops take place during the week and students (other than exam students) are invited to participate and perform.

Workshops cover aspects of painting, pottery, sculpture, puppet-making, calligraphy, video-making, photography, poetry, writing, percussion, song-writing, drama and theatre, Irish music and set-dancing, and include live performances by both students and teachers!

The Arts week emphasise a 'hands-on' experience for the students and hopefully gives them an opportunity to experience the delights of the Arts in a practical and hopefully, fun way!
